3. Try It: Review the Personal Options
When you log into the server, Microsoft Lync will display your name, status and location at the top of Lync. You can edit your Account. The settings can be found in the Personal options.

Sign-in address: This is the E-mail address for the Server. This is the address that Lync will use when it logs in.

Automatically start Lync when I log into Windows: By default, this options i on. You can un-check it and start Lync manually if you wish.

Show Lync in foreground when it starts: It makes sense to see the program when it starts, doesn't it?
